RETIREMENT BOARD

PERSI is directed by a five-member Retirement Board. Individuals on the Board are appointed by the Governor of the State of Idaho for terms lasting five years. These appointments are subject to Senate confirmation. State law requires that two members of the Board be active PERSI members with at least ten years of service and three members who are Idaho citizens, not members of the system except by reason of having served on the board.

RETIREMENT BOARD MEETINGS

Retirement Board meetings are held six times during a calendar year on days and times chosen by the Board. Meetings are held at PERSI’s Boise office, 607 North 8th Street, Boise, Idaho 83702. Meetings are open to PERSI members and the public. If you would like to attend a meeting, check the agenda on this website for the time, location or link for streaming.

RETIREMENT BOARD MEETING NOTICES, AGENDAS, MATERIALS AND PROTOCOL

PERSI follows the Idaho Open Meetings Laws found in Sections 74-201 through 74-208, Idaho Code. This requires that the meetings are open to the public except executive sessions, as provided in Section 74-206, Idaho Code.

Board minutes are reviewed and approved at a subsequent meeting. Approved minutes are posted and available within one week of approval. Not all meetings have packets. In this case, N/A will appear for that meeting.

The purpose of a PERSI board meeting is to enable the board trustees to discuss relevant PERSI business during a limited period of time and make informed decisions. The topics of discussion are based on the posted PERSI board agenda.

To facilitate the smooth and timely running of the board meeting, please remain quiet during the meeting. Questions from staff and contractors of PERSI are appreciated. Questions from the audience will not be addressed.

In the event the Board wishes to hear from an audience member, the Chair will ask for an audience member’s comment.
